Your journey is unique. Your support should be, too.

Melancentric offers personalized doula care for adoption, surrogacy, intended parents, and high-risk pregnancies. We bring education, reassurance, and practical preparation to experiences that may require additional understanding and support.

Adoption Support

We provide compassionate, nonjudgmental support for expectant parents considering or planning adoption. Care centers on their well-being, choices, and preferences throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

For adoptive parents, we offer preparation for welcoming a newborn, understanding infant care, and adjusting to parenthood.

Surrogacy & Intended Parents

We support the person carrying the pregnancy with birth preparation, comfort techniques, and emotional reassurance. Intended parents can receive guidance on newborn care, bonding, and their role during the birth experience.

Together, we help clarify preferences, boundaries, and support roles so everyone understands what to expect.

High-Risk Pregnancy Support

Additional monitoring or changing plans can bring uncertainty. We offer a steady presence, help you prepare questions for your care team, and adapt birth preparation to their recommendations.

Our support helps you prepare for induction, medicated or unmedicated labor, or cesarean birth as appropriate to your circumstances.

What Support Can Include

  • Personalized pregnancy and birth education.

  • Breathwork, coping techniques, and pushing preparation when appropriate.

  • Birth planning and communication of your preferences.

  • Partner and support-person preparation.

  • Emotional and practical support during birth.

  • Postpartum preparation and newborn-care education.

Care Centered on Clear Roles

The pregnant person’s choices, comfort, and privacy remain central to their doula care. Adoptive and intended parents may receive their own preparation and support.

Before services begin, we clarify whom we are supporting, what care includes, and how information may be shared with permission.

Our nonmedical services complement your medical team and any adoption or surrogacy professionals involved.
